Waiting For Jokowi's Choice Of The DKI Regional Secretary, PDIP Wants A Communicative Figure

The names of three candidates for the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of DKI Jakarta as a result of the selection process are already in the hands of President Joko Widodo. Although the determination of one name to be appointed as the Regional Secretary of DKI was decided by Jokowi, the PDIP faction of the DKI DPRD hopes that this figure has the criticism they hope for.

The chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gembong Warsono, admitted that his party wanted the elected DKI Regional Secretary to be a communicative official.

"When asked about the criteria, it must be communicative. He (DKI Regional Secretary) can be said that the CEO is the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. Coordination must be good with all stakeholders. When he becomes a good public relationship, everything will go well. The key is that," said Gembong when contacted, Friday, February 3.

According to Gembong, if the new DKI Regional Secretary works communically, he will definitely be able to carry out the coordination process between the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government, DKI DPRD, and external parties without obstacles.

"For example like this. When making policies by the governor, but the regional secretary operational and coordination. So, not everything is borne by the Acting Governor of DKI Heru Budi Hartono because the technical matters are resolved by the regional secretary," he said.

When asked who was the most suitable person with the PDIP criteria, Gembong was reluctant to give his name. "Masak, the DPRD faction dictates to the President? Our prayers will be later," he added.

Previously, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono had sent three names of candidates for the DKI Regional Secretary based on the results of an open selection of middle high leadership positions carried out by the selection committee.

These three names were sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) to be forwarded to President Joko Widodo. Jokowi will choose one of the three ASN officials who passed the final stage of the selection.

In the Announcement Number 4 of 2023 which was signed by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Suhajar Diantoro, as the chairman of the open selection committee for the DKI Regional Secretary, three names were mentioned who passed the auction for the position.

The three names are Joko Agus Setyono who is currently the Head of the Bali Province Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), Dhany Sukma who is currently the Mayor of Central Jakarta, and Michael Rolandi Cesnanta Brata who is currently the Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Asset Management Agency.
