Rizieq Shihab's Pretrial Hearing Was Guarded By 1,610 Joint Military-police Personnel

JAKARTA - A total of 1,610 joint TNI-Polri personnel will be deployed to secure the first pretrial hearing at the South Jakarta District Court. Security was carried out at several points.

"1,610 joint personnel from the TNI, Polri and Pemda are on alert to secure the pretrial trial tomorrow at the South Jakarta District Court," said Head of Public Relations of the Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono to reporters, Sunday, January 3.

Thousands of personnel will be stationed at several points. The security pattern will be carried out in several layers.

"The security starts from the location of the trial to the direct route arrangement," he said.

Rizieq Shihab's trial for pretrial will begin at 09.00 WIB, Monday, January 4. This inaugural session was with the agenda of reading the pretrial petition submitted by Rizieq Shihab's attorney.

Security from the joint apparatus is also a request from the South Jakarta District Court. The South Jakarta District Court did not want a crowd of supporters of Rizieq Shihab during the pretrial hearing.

Rizieq Shihab submitted a pretrial application to challenge the determination of the suspect in the case of crowds and violations of health protocols (prokes). Rizieq Shihab's pretrial lawsuit has been registered with number 150 / Pid.Pra / 2020 / PN South Jakarta, dated December 15.
