MEDAN - The Medan Polrestabes street crime investigation team together with the Sunggal Police arrested two male members of a motorbike gang that disturbed the community.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Medan Police Commissioner Teuku Fathir Mustafa said the two perpetrators were named Riko (20) and Dio (18).

"Starting from information from the public that there was a group of motorbikes causing trouble on Sri Gunting Street behind PDAM Tirtanadi Kec Medan Sunggal," Kompol Fathir was quoted as saying in a written statement, Tuesday, February 1.

Receiving the report, the Medan Polrestabes street crime follow-up team together with the Sunggal Police led by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Iptu Police, Suyanto Usman, went to the location to carry out the disbandment.

"After being chased, the two perpetrators were arrested from Binjai Street Km 12, Sunggal sub-district. The evidence that was secured was in the form of seven motorcycles and six sharp weapons," said Fathir.

The head of the Criminal Investigation Unit explained that the perpetrators prepared sharp weapons to fight.

"Based on the results of the perpetrator's statement, the perpetrator and several of his colleagues had prepared sharp weapons to fight and look for other motorcycle gang groups," he said.

For his actions the perpetrator is subjected to Article 12 paragraph 1 Emergency Law with a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
