Dozens Of Names Crossed Out Of Yogyakarta Poverty Data, Adjutants In The DPRD: Verification Is Performed Selectively

Dozens of residents came to the Yogyakarta City DPRD office to complain about deleting their names from family data on social protection targets or data on the poor who had just been set by the Yogyakarta City Government.

"We feel that the verification process or data collection last year was carried out selectively, making it detrimental," said Yogi Prasetyo, as a resident representative who submitted a complaint at the Yogyakarta City DPRD building, Tuesday, January 31, was confiscated by Antara.

According to him, there are still residents who really need social protection assistance or guarantees from local governments but this year it is no longer included in the family data of the target social protection guarantee (KSJPS).

"This means that data collection or verification is indeed carried out selectively," he said.

One of the residents' concerns when their names are crossed out is that they will no longer receive affirmations to enter public schools through the KSJPS route with special quotas and access regional education guarantees.

According to him, the poor who are included in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) issued by the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) should also receive affirmations for entering public schools in Yogyakarta.

"So, it is not only limited to residents who are included in the KSJPS. Because DTKS should be higher because it comes from the ministry," said Yogi.

Meanwhile, the Sub-Coordinator of Data and Social Information Substances of the Yogyakarta City Social Manpower and Transmigration Service, Agus Budi, ensured that there was no selective logging in the data collection and verification process for data determination of KSJPS because all residents included in the proposal had been verified directly.

"We verified about 55,000 families (KK). All were visited directly and there were notes in detail. If no one was found or died, then the person who signed the document was RT in the area," he said.

Poor people can also apply independently to be included in the DTKS to access various social assistance from the government as long as they are declared to have passed the verification.

Regarding affirmation in the field of education, Agus Budi said that local governments still provide assistance for arrears in education. "Sometimes, there are also residents who are naughty' because they deliberately fail to pay so that during the increase in class they apply for assistance," he said.

In mid-January, the Yogyakarta City Manpower and Transmigration Social Service began distributing KSJPS cards to recipients through the sub-district with a total of 17,451 families (KK).

Meanwhile, Chairman of Commission D of the Yogyakarta City DPRD, Suryani, said residents who did not enter the KMS could still access assistance in the field of education even though they attended private schools.

"There is already a policy from the Yogyakarta City Government. One of them is tuition assistance, underdeveloped diploma assistance and regional school operational assistance. The value is also quite large so there is no need to worry," he said.

Therefore, it is hoped that the public will not make KSJPS a goal to be able to get affirmations to enter public schools because the quota provided is actually limited, which is 11 percent to enter public junior high schools.
