JAKARTA - The City Government (Pemkot) of Depok, West Java, has again extended restrictions on business activities for restaurants, cafes, restaurants, stalls, and the like until January 12, 2020.

This policy is contained in the Mayor's Decree (SK) Number 443/503 / Kpts / Dinkes / Huk / 2020 concerning the Fifth Extension of Limitation on Business Activities of Restaurants, Cafes, Restaurants, Stalls, and Similar Businesses.

"This decision is valid for 14 days. Starting from December 30, 2020 to January 12, 2021, and can be extended based on the recommendations of the 2019 Corona Virus Diseases Management Task Force," Depok Mayor Mohammad Idris said in the decree quoted by Antara, Friday.

The restrictions on business activities apply with several provisions. First, dine-in and take away services until 21.00 WIB.

Second, specifically on December 31, 2020 and January 1, 2021, dine-in service is only until 19.00 WIB. Meanwhile, take away services until 21.00 WIB.

The Depok City Government previously issued Mayor Decree Number 443/498 / Kpts / Dinkes / Huk / 2020 on 23 December 2020 regarding the Ninth Extension of the Enforcement of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) in Proportional Pre-Adaptation to New Habits (AKB) for Prevention, Handling and Control of Corona Virus Diseases 2019 in Depok City.

The implementation of the Pre-AKB PSBB in the context of Prevention, Handling and Control of Corona Virus Disease 2019 in Depok City, can be extended based on the recommendations of the Task Force for Handling Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Depok City.

Proportional PSBB includes enforcement of health protocols to prevent transmission of the corona virus that causes COVID-19.

"The Depok City Government is also still limiting residents' activities outside the home in an effort to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission," said Mohammad Idris.

For this reason, it is necessary to optimize the role of the COVID-19 Alert Village in recording and supervising migrants, enforcing health protocols to prevent transmission of COVID-19, and ensuring that social restrictions for the neighborhood-based alert village are running.
