Imbau Police, Audi A8 Driver Who RUNs AWAY Immediately Joins Himself If The Sentence Does Not Want To Be Increased

The West Java Regional Police have named a fake Audi driver with the number A6 on behalf of Sugeng Guruh Gautama Legiman on the wanted list (DPO) for escaping after being named a suspect in an accident that caused the victim to die.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Pol Ibrahim Tompo in Cianjur, quoted Antara's report, Sunday, January 29, saying that when he was about to be arrested, the suspect was no longer there and was suspected of running away, so his party issued a DPO letter.

"We ask the suspect to surrender immediately because the sentence that will be imposed is heavier when he escapes. No one hopes for an accident, let alone to take lives," he said.

Ibrahim explained that for his actions the suspect would be charged with Article 310 paragraph 4 junto Article 312 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 2009 concerning Traffic and General Transportation with a penalty of 6 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 12,000,000 for causing the victim to die.

When trying to escape or escape responsibility, he said, his party would impose multiple articles under Article 312 with a threat of 3 years imprisonment and a maximum fine of IDR 75,000,000 for trying to escape responsibility.

"In this article, everyone driving a motorized vehicle is involved in a traffic accident and intentionally does not stop the vehicle, does not provide assistance, or does not report to the police, will be subject to additional articles," he said.

He appealed to the suspect to immediately surrender and take responsibility because his party would take firm steps and apply additional articles because they were not cooperative and hindered the investigation process.
