So That There Are No More WRONG Block Accounts, The Banking Is Recommended By The KPK As Well As Check Address

JAKARTA - The KPK asks banks not to just check their names or places, the date of birth of the party requested to block their accounts. Do not let residents who are not related to corruption cases even get blocked accounts by banks.

This request was conveyed by the Head of the KPK News Section, Ali Fikri, in response to the blocking of accounts of bird sellers in Pamekasan, Ilham Wahyudi. His account was blocked even though he was not a related party in the bribery case of grant funds in East Java.

"In the future, there may be a system improvement in the blocking. Not only based on names, date of birth, and birth, but the address is different," Ali told reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, January 27.

Ali admitted that there was an error in blocking accounts due to the similarity of name and place of birth date. However, he said the bank should be responsible.

Moreover, since the beginning the KPK has submitted complete data. "We emphasize that it is not (accounts, ed) that are requested to be blocked but accounts belonging to KPK suspects," he said.

"(The mistake, red) yes, of course from the blocking party because our data is complete," continued Ali.

Previously, a bird seller in Pamekasan, Ilham Wahyudi, was exhausted. His account was blocked because the bank received a request from the KPK.

Meanwhile, the KPK has named four suspects in the case of alleged bribery of community group grant funds disbursed through East Java APBD funds. They are Deputy Chairman of the East Java DPRD Sahat Tua P Simandjuntak; Sahat expert staff, Rusdi; Head of Jelgung Village, Abdul Hamid; and the Field Coordinator of Pokmas, Ilham Wahyudi.

Sahat allegedly offered assistance to facilitate the proposal for grant funds, which in total reached Rp7.8 trillion. This provision is intended for agencies, institutions, community organizations in the East Java Provincial Government.

The KPK suspects that Sahat's acceptance has been carried out since 2021 and continues until 2022 and then is willing to help for 2023 and 2024. The money received by the Golkar Party politician is suspected to have reached Rp5 billion.
