The KPK Received Information From BCA, An Account Belonging To A Bird Seller In Pamekasan Whose Name Is The Same As The Suspect No More Blocked

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed that blocking accounts belonging to bird sellers in Pamekasan, Ilham Wahyudi, has been opened. The bank has revoked the blocking.

"The latest information we received from BCA has reopened the account on behalf of earlier, the bird seller," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, January 27.

Ali ensured that the KPK had never asked the private bank to block Ilham's account. Moreover, he is not a litigant in the bribery case of grant funds in the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of West Java.

Instead of Ilham selling birds, the KPK actually asked for the blocked account to belong to the Pokmas Field Coordinator, Ilham Wahyudi. He is a suspect in the alleged bribery case whose case is being investigated by investigators.

It's just that, Ali said, this mistake can be understood because both have the same name and date of birth.

"We have to understand," he said.

"Because the name and place of the date of birth, month, year is exactly the same," Ali continued.

However, he also asked the bank to improve their system. Moreover, the KPK has submitted data related to the blocking clearly and accurately.

"There must be improvements to the system in the blocking, including other identities. One of them is not only based on names and date of birth, years, but different addresses," he said.

Previously, a bird seller in Pamekasan, Ilham Wahyudi, was exhausted. His account was blocked because the bank received a request from the KPK.

Meanwhile, the KPK has named four suspects in the case of alleged bribery of community group grant funds disbursed through East Java APBD funds. They are Deputy Chairman of the East Java DPRD Sahat Tua P Simandjuntak; Sahat expert staff, Rusdi; Head of Jelgung Village, Abdul Hamid; and the Field Coordinator of Pokmas, Ilham Wahyudi.

Sahat allegedly offered assistance to facilitate the proposal for grant funds, which in total reached Rp7.8 trillion. This provision is intended for agencies, institutions, community organizations in the East Java Provincial Government.

The KPK suspects that Sahat's acceptance has been carried out since 2021 and continues until 2022 and then is willing to help for 2023 and 2024. The money received by the Golkar Party politician is suspected to have reached Rp5 billion.
