See Police Flying Drones? Get Ready, Traffic Violators Will Be Ticketed

TEGAL The Tegal Resort Police (Polres) together with the Gakkum Sub-Directorate of the Central Java Police held an introduction activity for the ETLE Drone at the Adiwerna Toll Traffic Light Exit, Tegal Regency. This activity is an introduction to the introduction of violations using ETLE Drone in the Tegal Police jurisdiction in an effort to realize a traffic-ordered culture.

Tegal Police Chief, AKBP Mochammad Sajarod Zakun through Kasatlantas, AKP Erwin Chan Siregar said that his party received assistance from the Sub-Directorate of Gakkum Ditlantas Polda Central Java regarding the technical introduction and operational tactical ETLE Drone with the target of road users on the Line I intersection 3 Traffic Light Exit Toll Adiwerna Tegal.

We received assistance in the application of digital violation enforcement operations using the ETLE Drone method. This is an adaptation of technological developments which are a challenge for us to provide violation enforcement services with a ticket using the ETLE Drone. This digitization will be applied in the Central Java Regional Police area, in accordance with the instructions from the Director (then the Central Java Police Traffic) explained the Head of the Tegal Police Traffic Unit, AKP Erwin Chan Siregar, in a written statement.

The ETLE Drone trial was successfully carried out for approximately 30 minutes with the target being road users who crossed Simpang 3 of the Adiwerna Toll Exit Post at the Tegal Police.

"Yes, there were several violators who were recorded by the ETLE Drone when tested for approximately half an hour. Among them, it was like the motorcyclist did not wear a helmet and the violation did not wear a safety belt on the four-wheeled rider," said Kasatlantas Polres Tegal, AKP Erwin Chan Siregar, Wednesday, January 25, 2023.

He explained that the ETLE Drone is an innovation of the Ditlantas Polda Central Java, which aims to create security, order, safety and smooth traffic throughout Central Java, road users, as well as efforts to prevent the fatality of traffic accidents.

"So apart from ETLE with static and mobile cameras, we are also developing ETLE innovations with drone cameras which are currently being tested," he said.

Until now, he continued, the temporary use of ETLE Drone is still being carried out by members of the Central Java Police Traffic Directorate who have verified the ETLE Drone operator.

On that occasion, Erwin appealed to the residents of Tegal Regency to always be orderly and comply with traffic regulations.
