JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Provincial Government prohibits all activities that lead to crowds on New Year's Eve 2021. Head of Satpol PP DKI Arifin said that one of the activities prohibited is the convoy of vehicles on the road.

"There should be no convoys on the streets on New Year's Eve. It is hoped that on New Year's Eve there will be no crowds occurring on various roads and public spaces," Arifin said when contacted, Wednesday, December 30.

Arifin said that the Satpol PP personnel would comb roads in Jakarta during New Year's Eve. If anyone keeps holding it, the Satpol PP officers in the field will disperse

"If there are any, the convoys will be prosecuted and disbanded," he said.

In addition, said Arifin, Satpol PP will also conduct patrols and supervision of places that have the potential to cause crowds and become gathering places on New Year's Eve.

"For example, in the Kemayoran area, Kota Tua, Lake Sunter, PIK area, East Jakarta BKT, Taman Mini and others, we will carry out strict supervision, strict control," he said.

Previously reported, the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan issued Governor's Instruction No. 64 of 2020 concerning the implementation of control, as well as the Governor's Call No. 17 of 2020 on controlling community activities.
