Youth Body Found Dead At Manggarai Water Gate, SAR Team: Victim Of Drowing

JAKARTA - A man's body was found dead floating in the Ciliwung River, Manggarai floodgate, Menteng, Central Jakarta. After being identified, the victim was identified as Muhammad Wirlangga (13).

The victim was reported missing drowned in Ciliwung River, Tebet District, South Jakarta since Monday, January 23. The victim's disappearance was reported to the Jakarta SAR Office.

Furthermore, the joint SAR team conducted a search and managed to find the whereabouts of the victim in a dead condition.

Head of the Jakarta SAR Office, Fazzli, said the victim's body was found at the Manggarai floodgate.

"The victim was found floating within a 3 KM radius from the scene. The victim has been evacuated to the funeral home," Fazzli said when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, January 25.

The search for victims was carried out by three teams. The first team searched for victims using a Rubber Boat combing the Ciliwung River flow up to a radius of 3 KM from the scene.

The second team conducted a visual search of the land route combing the banks of the Ciliwung river up to a radius of 3 KM from the scene.

"The third team dived around the scene at a radius of 10 meters," he said.
