KPK Will Investigate Assets Purchased By Lukas Enembe Using Bribery And Gratification Money

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed that the assets purchased by the inactive Papua Governor Lukas Enembe will be investigated. This step was taken to examine additional articles that could be imposed on the suspects suspected of bribery and gratuities.

"Where do the funds go, the assets are then studied by turning money into assets. We are studying it so that we can apply other articles and laws," said KPK Head of News Ali Fikri to journalists in Jakarta, Friday, January 20.

In addition, the anti-corruption commission will also investigate whether or not money has flowed to the Free Papua Organization (OPM). However, Ali said, investigators do not want to be arbitrary because they will ask for statements from the witnesses.

It is these witnesses who are then expected to cooperate in fulfilling the KPK summons. "In-depth investigations regarding the flow of money that the suspected recipients will definitely continue to do," he said.

"Hopefully the witnesses summoned will be cooperative so that the process of resolving this case can be expedited," Ali continued.

Previously, Lukas was detained after he was named a suspect in alleged bribery and gratuities for project procurement at the Papua Provincial Government. During detention, he appeared to be using a wheelchair.

In this case, Lukas Enembe is suspected of receiving money from the director of PT Tabi Bangun Papua, Rijantono Lakka, so that the company could get a project. It is suspected that this collusion was also carried out by officials in the Papua Provincial Government.

The agreement between them, namely the provision of a fee of 14 percent of the contract value. Fees must be net of tax deductions.

At least, there are three projects that Rijantono got for this evil agreement. First, namely the improvement of the Entrop-Hamadi Road with a project value of IDR 14.8 billion.

Rehabilitation of supporting facilities and infrastructure for Integration PAUD with a project value of IDR 13.3 billion. Finally, the venue environmental management project is developing the AURI outdoor with a project value of IDR 12.9 billion.

After the project was won, Rijantono handed over IDR 1 billion to Lukas. In addition, Lukas is also suspected of receiving gratuities of up to billions of rupiah.
