The Central Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim finally intervened to roll up a gang of robbers who took the motorbike of an online motorcycle taxi driver in the Cikini area, Menteng District, Central Jakarta.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Gunarto, explained that the police already knew the identities of the street criminals who acted in the Menteng area.

"We have pocketed the identities of the perpetrators, hopefully they will be caught as soon as possible," said Police Commissioner Gunarto when confirmed, Thursday, January 19.

Currently, the police are still in the field to pursue the perpetrators of the robbery. In the near future, said AKBP Gunarto, the Central Jakarta Police will immediately uncover the crime of robbery that is troubling the community.

"We are chasing and we are hunting. Hopefully as soon as possible, please pray for it," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the Menteng Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit had received reports from online motorcycle taxi drivers who were victims of motorcycle robbery in the Cikini area. Currently, the police are still conducting searches through CCTV camera footage.

"The victim with the initials AH has submitted an official report to the Menteng Metro Police. This victim is a resident of South Jakarta. The victim suffered a motorcycle loss taken by a thief and a cellphone on the victim's motorbike," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit Kompol Kukuh Islami when confirmed, Monday, January 16.

Based on the victim's information, the search was carried out by tracking CCTV footage to find out the identity of the perpetrators. The CCTV seized came from the Tugu Tani area to the Menteng Raya area.
