The East Jakarta Metro Police are still developing three ATM burglars who managed to escape the pursuit of the joint military, police, and residents on the toll road section in the Cipayung area, East Jakarta.

"We are still pursuing the other three perpetrators, the identity is known," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Budi Sartono to VOI, Wednesday, January 18.

Currently, two perpetrators are still being investigated and further developed. The police have also confiscated a number of pieces of evidence.

"We will develop 3 other perpetrators who are still being hunted by members in the field," he said.

Kombes Budi also appealed to residents of East Jakarta if they found any street crime, they immediately reported it to the police.

"If the public sees an incident, they will continue to coordinate with the local police. Don't be vigilant yourself. In the case of the arrest of the perpetrators of the ATM, the online motorcycle taxis also caught up because they saw that PJR members were chasing the perpetrators so they immediately helped, not alone," he said.

Previously, it was reported that two of the five perpetrators of theft of money from an automated teller machine (ATM) were successfully secured by the joint military, police, and the community when the action was discovered. The perpetrators previously acted at 3 locations in the Cipayung area, East Jakarta.

Cipayung Police Chief Kompol Bayu Marfiando said the incident occurred at around 08.00 WIB. Initially, the perpetrators launched their action in the South Jakarta area and moved to the green scene of the mini park but failed because it read the system.

"They moved to another point that they have identified that the ATM can be used for handling ATMs. It happened in a crocodile hole," said Kompol Bayu to reporters, Monday, January 16.
