JAKARTA - The city of Lhokseumawe, Aceh prohibits students in the area from bringing lato-lato toys to the school environment because it can interfere with the teaching and learning process.

Acting (Plt) Head of the Lhokseumawe City Education and Culture Office A Haris in Lhokseumawe, Thursday, said the ban on carrying the popular lato-lato toys had been conveyed to all school principals, either PAUD or TK, SD and SMP levels.

"The ban is still just an appeal. The agency has not issued a circular regarding the prohibition of bringing lato-lato toys to schools. However, in the future, we will convey them in the form of a circular," said A Haris, Thursday, January 12, as reported by Antara.

A Haris mengatakan larangan bagi anak pelajar atau siswa tidak membawa toy lato-lato maupun alat permain lainnya ke lingkungan sekolah karena bisa mengganggu proses belajar mengajar.

"These late shots cause noisy effects so that they can interfere with the teaching and learning process. It can even cause injuries due to being hit or breaking up while playing," said A Haris.

A Haris said that his party had also asked teachers to raid and if they were caught carrying lato-lato toys, they should be confiscated. Thus, no more students take him to school.

"If students are found to be carrying lato-lato, they will be confiscated and will not be returned again. We also ask every teacher to socialize to the parents of students so as not to allow their students to carry the toys," said A Haris.
