Survey: Electability Of Ganjar Pranowo, Prabowo Subianto And Anies Still Taking Overseas Position 3

JAKARTA - The results of a survey conducted by the Voxpopuli Research Center revealed that Ganjar Pranowo's electability, Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto and former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan still occupy the top three positions. "The backdrop in the last year has been in the top three positions in the presidential candidate exchange, which has become stronger occupied by Ganjar, Prabowo, and Anies," said Voxpopuli Research Center Communications Director Achmad Subadja in a written statement received in Jakarta, Antara, Sunday, January 8. The findings of the Voxpopuli Research Center survey show that Ganjar Pranowo's electability reached 23.8 percent, followed by Prabowo Subianto at 20.2 percent. Meanwhile, former Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture Anies Baswedan won 18.7 percent electability. According to Achmad, the trend of increasing Ganjar's electability has occurred since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic or in mid-2020. The Governor of Central Java is competing closely with Prabowo, who is still empowered after losing twice in the previous presidential election. It's just that, he continued, the fate of Ganjar is not as good as Prabowo, who is relatively in control of political parties. Ganjar still has to compete within the PDIP where Puan Maharani is also expected to fight in the 2024 presidential candidate market. "Will Ganjar get a ticket depending on the PDIP decision to be issued in 2023," he said. On the other hand, Anies Baswedan's electability as a strong challenger for Ganjar and Prabowo is also on the rise. However, Anies' position is also not safe considering that the coalition that is predicted by Nasdem, PKS and Democrats has not yet been formed. He said so far the electability of the three names had not crossed the 30 percent mark. Meanwhile, political parties want candidates who are promoted to have a higher potential to win. Outside of the top three positions, there are names such as West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil who won 5.2 percent electability, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono 4.6 percent and Sandiaga Uno 4.1 percent. "RK and Sandi tend to decline, while AHY is stable and finally experiencing an increase in electability," said Achmad. In addition, the Voxpopuli Research Center also announced the electability of other names, namely Puan getting 3.9 percent electability, followed by Erick Thohir 3.1 percent and Khofifah Indar Parawansa 2.4 percent. Then Andika Perkasa 1.5 percent, Airlangga Hartarto 1.3 percent, Mahfud MD 1.1 percent and Yenny Wahid 1.0 percent. The Voxpopuli Research Center survey was conducted 17-23 December 2022 involving 1,200 randomly selected respondents, and representing all provinces in Indonesia. The survey margin of error is around 2.9 percent with a 95 percent confidence level.
