Minister Of Religion Yaqut: 100 Thousands Of ASN Within The Ministry Of Religion Thanks To The Un Professional Category

Minister of Religion (Menag) Yaqut Cholil Qoumas said there were around 100 thousand State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Ministry of Religion categorized as unprofessional based on the results of a survey by the Religious Professional and Moderation Index (IPMB).

"Yesterday, the Secretary General (Nizar Ali) through Karo Kepemenan conducted a professional index test and religious moderation. The results were extraordinary, 40 percent of ASN of the Ministry of Religion was unprofessional. That means there are more than 100 thousand ASN in the Ministry of Religion who are unprofessional," said Minister of Religion Yaqut in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Saturday, December 31.

Previously, the Ministry of Religion held an IPMB survey aimed at supporting the implementation of the 2020-2024 National Medium-Term Development Plan and the Ministry of Religion's Strategic Plan.

The survey is also an effort to create professional and moderate human resources for the apparatus. There are about 214,306 ASNs from the Ministry of Religion following the index survey, as well as asserting that they are the fattest ministries.

The Minister of Religion did not explain in detail what indicators made the 100 thousand ASN categorized as unprofessional. Yaqut asked the unprofessional ASN to be given special treatment in order to improve their competence.

"Well, if it has been treated, it has not become a professional, can it be done rather than a burden. Yes, we just leave the burden. Let's just change it to a fresher, more professional one, because once again the mandate carried by the Ministry of Religion is not a light mandate," he said.

The Minister of Religion said that the Ministry of Religion's ASN is a service storefront for its agencies. The quality of service to the community will be reflected in the attitudes and behavior of ASN.

"The Ministry of Religion needs to massively strengthen its ranks. The strengthening starts from building a professional mind set and culture set for every ASN person of the Ministry of Religion," he said.
