Up 4.12 Percent, 965 Thousand Vehicles Leave Jabodetabek On D-2 Before Christmas

JAKARTA - Over the last six days, namely D-7 to D-2 before Christmas 2022, there have been 965,760 vehicles leaving Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek).

When compared to the Christmas and New Year 2021 period, the total volume of traffic on 18-23 December 2022 rose 4.12 percent with a total of 927,583 vehicles.

Meanwhile, when compared to the prediction of the 2022 Nataru traffic volume in the same period, the total traffic volume increased by 2.88 percent with a total of 938,725 vehicles.

"This figure is the cumulative figure of traffic flow (traffic) from the four Barrier / Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (direction to Merak), Ciawi GT (direction to Puncak), and Cikampek Utama GT (direction to Trans Java) and Kalihurip Utama GT (direction to Bandung)," said Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head Lisye Octaviana in a statement, Saturday, December 24.

Meanwhile, the distribution of traffic leaving Jabotabek heading for all three directions, namely a majority of 448,806 vehicles (46.47 percent) heading east (Trans Java and Bandung), 302,334 vehicles (31.31 percent) heading west (Merak), and 214,620 vehicles (22.22 percent) heading south (Puncak).

1. East direction traffic distribution:- Lalin leaving Jabotabek heading towards Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, with a total of 238,077 vehicles, increased by 38.69 percent from normal traffic.- Lalin left Jabotabek towards Bandung via Kalihurip Utama Toll Road Cipularang, with a total of 210,729 vehicles, an increase of 17.34 percent from normal traffic. The total traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Trans Java and Bandung through the two GTs was 448,806 vehicles, an increase of 27.78 percent from normal traffic.

2. Southwest traffic distribution: traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Merak via Cikupa Toll Road Tangerang-Merak is 302,334 vehicles, an increase of 6.08 percent from normal traffic.

3. East traffic distribution: The number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek heading towards Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road is 214,620 vehicles, an increase of 11.67 percent from normal traffic.
