Receiving SMS, Suddenly Rp. 58 Million Money Belonging To A Bank Customer In Palangka Raya Has Disappeared

PALANGKA RAYA - A customer of the Rajawali branch bank, Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, Maulana Amzad (30) admitted that his money in his account was reduced by IDR 58,400,000. In fact, his party has never made any withdrawal transactions.

"I panicked and was shocked when messages came to my cellphone via text messages about five withdrawals of funds," said Maulana Amzad, a resident of Jalan Intan Palangka Raya, quoted by Antara, Friday, December 18.

He said the incident occurred on Saturday, December 5 at around 16.30 WIB. At that time he was selling at one of his stalls. Maulana then received an SMS message but was ignored

However, when several SMS came in, Maulana realized that there were transactions with varying amounts. He immediately checked into the nearest ATM. But his ATM card could no longer be used.

"It is possible that the password from my ATM has been changed by an irresponsible actor," said Maulana.

Furthermore, his party immediately reported the incident to the bank on Monday, December 7 after confirming through the bank's service that the account was blocked. It turned out that the money in Maulana's account had run out.

According to Maulana, the bank asked him to report to the police.

"In fact, the money belongs to a group of community members whose heart was moved to repair the dome of the tomb of Datu (Habib Said Abdi Abdullah Panggar Wasi bin Raden Said), an Islamic figure who we respect and honor in Kapuas Regency," said Maulana.

Meanwhile, when confirmed to the bank, there was no explanation regarding the case of the loss of customer money. Confirmation was also made at the head office of the bank in Palangka Raya City, but there was no explanation.
