JAKARTA - An earthquake with a magnitude (M) of 6.1 hit Sukabumi City, West Java. The earthquake occurred at 7.50 WIB, Thursday 8 December.
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that the earthquake was located 22 kilometers southeast of Sukabumi City.
"7.11 South Latitude, 106.99 East Longitude," wrote BMKG on its Twitter account, infoBMKG, Thursday, December 8.

In their report, the BMKG said the earthquake had a depth of 104 kilometers.
