Erick Thohir's Contribution to the Success of the G20 Summit

JAKARTA - The Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Erick Thohir is considered to have contributed to the success of the G20 Summit on November 15-16. He can coordinate the ranks of state-owned companies to support this international event.

"The synergy that was built by SOEs Minister, Erick Thohir, in supporting the G20 Presidency event to its completion has even received appreciation from the delegations of participating countries", said the Head of the Together We One Bali Forum, Kadek Agus Ekanata in a written statement, Monday, December 5.

Agus said that under Erick Thohir, the revitalization of Ngurah Rai Airport was carried out to welcome state guests. Apart from that, PT Jasa Marga is also improving the quality of toll roads and planting mangrove forests.

Next, another state-owned company, PT Bukit Asam, is building a Solar Power Plant (PLTS) on the Bali Mandara Toll Road. This aims to realize the use of environmentally friendly energy which is also one of the focuses on the agenda of the G20 Summit.

"This program is a concrete step for green energy to become one of the focuses on the Indonesian G20 Presidency agenda", said Agus.

Next, Erick was also considered successful in promoting micro, small and medium enterprise (MSMEs) products in activities attended by heads of state and their delegations. This condition, said Agus, has made small entrepreneurs in Bali enjoy the economic impact.

The promotion was carried out through the Future SMEs Village: Local Wisdom for Global Sustainability activity which was held in the Bali Collection area, Nusa Dua.
