BNPT Scout Value Can Disrupt Radical Understanding And Destructive Propaganda

JAKARTA - Head of BNPT Komjen Pol. Boy Rafli Amar said that one of the elements that can ward off radicalism and prevent destructive propaganda in the community is a scout group filled with the younger generation.

"This leader is a means of communication for his peers in building diversity and Indonesian character," he said in a written statement, Monday, December 5, quoted by Antara.

He also believes that scout groups can form the resilience and vigilance of the younger generation against ideas that are not in accordance with the values of Pancasila and the Republic of Indonesia.

"We must increase the resilience of young people and vigilance," he said.

However, Boy asked scouts and other young people to continue to be aware of the dangers of destructive propaganda through the BNPT's Forum for Accuracy for the Business of the Gelorakan WELLness (WARUNG).

"Residents of the Republic of Indonesia can revitalize the value of Pancasila, strengthen the positive narrative in the midst of widespread disinformation, and realize the economic independence of the community," he said.

The former head of the Papuan Police believes that by opening up light dialogue spaces such as NKRI STALL, the sound of national gold must be echoed to the public in the face of information distortions that are increasingly grounded.

Meanwhile, the Head of the National and Political Unity Agency (Kesbangpol) of East Java Province, R. Heru Wahono Santoso, welcomed the presence of NKRI STALLs in his area because they could educate the public about preventing radicalism and terrorism.

"NKRI STALLS are a form of innovation to prevent radicalism by mobilizing all the power of the country," he added.

Heru assessed that the NKRI STALL was an innovation to prevent radicalism initiated by BNPT by involving the participation of all parties to increase national unity and integrity.

"We appreciate the establishment of the NKRI Jember STALL, a soft approach program with economic empowerment which is the pioneer in realizing the revitalization of the Pancasila value," he said.

BNPT continues to increase the number of NKRI STALLS in the regions, the most recent of which are NKRI STALLs in City Forest and Farm Jember, East Java.
