JAKARTA - The disasters that occur in Indonesia not only threaten the safety of the population but also threaten a number of schools. Therefore, the Chairman of the DPD RI, AA LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti, hopes that disaster rescue material will be included in the special curriculum.

According to LaNyalla, disasters that occur often take victims of students who are still doing activities in the school environment.

"Disasters such as earthquakes, floods and landslides often come unexpectedly and take victims. Students have not been able to save themselves and have the potential to become victims," he said, Saturday, December 3.

For this reason, LaNyalla encourages self-saving when dealing with disasters to be included in the school curriculum or a special curriculum.

"This means that schools located in disaster-prone areas, disaster rescue materials are more recommended for in-depth study," he explained.

The senator from East Java added that the material for saving himself from disaster should be more emphasized in disaster-prone areas.

"Because the community and students in disaster-prone areas must practically know the first action when there is a disaster. Meanwhile, areas that are safer emphasize knowledge," he explained.
