2 Members Of The DKI DPRD Test Positive For COVID-19

JAKARTA - Two members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD were declared infected with COVID-19. Both are the Chairman of the Golkar faction, Basri Baco and a member of the Gerindra faction, Yudha Permana.

Judistira Hermawan, Secretary of the Golkar faction at the DPRD DKI, said that Baco conducted a PCR swab test on December 12. The next day it was discovered that the Baco swab was positive for COVID-19.

"Betu, Mr. Baco is positive for COVID-19. We pray that he will recover soon and be able to return to activities," Judistira said when confirmed, Wednesday, December 16.

Judistira said that Baco some time ago had gone out of town for family matters. Baco also conducted a socialization recess of regional regulations. After that, Baco experienced symptoms of illness.

"Symptoms are cough, warm throat, a little fever, but he did not experience shortness of breath," said Judistira.

Meanwhile, a member of the Gerindra Faction DPRD DKI, Syarif, said that Yudha tested positive for COVID-19 as of December 15 yesterday. Syarif said, Yudha was included in the category of people without symptoms (OTG).

"Yudha is in good condition, he is isolated at home," said Syarif.

According to him, Yudha had gone on a work visit to Semarang with Basri Baco who was previously positive for COVID-19. However, Syarif could not confirm that Yudha was infected from Baco.

"He only made contact in Semarang, when he was visiting Mr. Basri Baco. According to him, we cannot predict it because of the contact in Semarang. Because usually the symptoms of COVID-19 were only found in the next six days, while his contact was only two days ago," explained Syarif.
