President Biden Called No Plan To Call President Putin, But Ready To Talk War In Ukraine

JAKARTA - United States President Joe Biden said he had no plans to contact Russian President Vladimir Putin in the near future.

However, President Biden is ready to speak with President Putin, if he shows interest in ending the war in Ukraine and only in consultation with NATO allies (North Atlantic Treaty Organization).

"I have no immediate plans to contact President Putin," President Biden told a White House press conference after talks with French President Emmanuel Macron.

"I am ready to speak with President Putin, if there is any interest in him deciding to find a way to end the war. He hasn't done it yet," President Biden continued.

Meanwhile, President Biden and President Macron pledged their country's solidarity with Ukraine against Russia's war in yesterday's meeting, pledging to work together to overcome the economic difficulties posed by the conflict.

President Biden firmly placed the responsibility to end the war, which began with Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February, against President Putin.

"There is one way to end this war, a rational way: (President) Putin can withdraw from Ukraine, No. 1. It seems he will not do that. He paid a prince who was very expensive for failing to do so," he concluded.
