Already Fired But Still Claiming To Be Police, Finally Arrested When Bringing The Citizen's Motorcycle Escape

MAKASSAR - Former Polri member F (36) was arrested for committing fraud or embezzling the motorbike of a resident, BTN Graha Lasinrang, Paleteang District, Pinrang Regency, South Sulawesi. The perpetrator is suspected of embezzling the residents' motorbikes using tax management mode.

Kasat Reskrim Pinrang Police AKP Dharma Praditya Negara, said the victim gave the motorbike along with the STNK to the perpetrator. The perpetrator (F) at that time claimed to be a member of the National Police and was willing to help the victim to pay and administer vehicle taxes.

"The victim was promised a day but in fact the perpetrator brought the victim's motorbike. The victim reported that the perpetrator did not return the victim's motorbike, until finally the victim reported this to the police," said AKP Dharma when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, December 15.

Perpetrator F, who was fired as a member of the National Police in 2014, was arrested by the police team. Items that were suspected of having something to do with the criminal act of fraud were also secured by the police.

"The perpetrator admitted his actions by claiming to be a member of the National Police, then admitted that he would help the victim take care of the motorbike tax. The victim's motorbike had been changed and the hanging plate was not the original plate," said AKP Dharma.

The perpetrator and evidence were brought to the Pinrang Police. The perpetrator will undergo a legal process related to his actions.
