National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo confirmed that he would investigate allegations of members receiving deposits related to illegal coal mines in East Kalimantan. The investigation began with the search for the whereabouts of Ismail Bolong who was suspected of being the bribe giver.

"Of course we start from Ismail Bolong first, later from there and then we will check," General Sigit told reporters, Saturday, November 26.

The examination of Ismail Bolong is referred to as an entry point to prove all the growing allegations. Including, the matter of Kabareskrim Komjen Agus Andrianto and the former East Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Herry Rudolf Nahak who is said to have participated in receiving the deposit. "If the crime must have evidence," he said.

Currently, the former member of the Samarinda Police is being sought. The team from the East Kalimantan Regional Police to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police continues to track it down.

"Ismail has a gap now, of course, a team looking for either from East Kalimantan or from Headquarters," he said.

Meanwhile, when asked about the steps to send a summons for examination of Ismail Bolong by the Directorate of Certain Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency, Sigit said it was one of the strategies.

Allegedly, the strategy was intended to be able to bring Ismail Bolong forcibly if later he did not fulfill two summons for examination. "Of course, the search process is a strategy from the police, there is also a call," said Sigit.

Previously, circulating documents on the results of the investigation (LHP) related to illegal coal mining in the East Kalimantan Regional Police area, with findings of alleged violations or irregularities committed by members of the National Police and main officials of the East Kalimantan Police.

In addition, he also gave coordination money to Komjen Agus Andrianto as the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police directly in the Kabareskrim office in the form of US dollars three times, namely October, November and December 2021, amounting to Rp. 2 billion.

Ismail Bolong was viral on social media. He admitted that he deposited billions of rupiah from illegal coal mining to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.

In addition, Ismail Bolong also admitted that he worked as an illegal coal collector in the East Kalimantan (Kaltim) area on his own initiative.

He claims to profit billions of rupiah every month and "coordinate" with Komjen Agus Andrianto in running the illegal mining business.

"The profit I get from collecting and selling coal is around IDR 5-10 billion every month. Regarding the activities I carry out, I have coordinated with Kabareskrim, namely to Mr. Komjen Agus Andrianto by giving money three times," said Ismail Bolong from his video caption.

Shortly thereafter, another confession video emerged from Ismail Bolong. It turned out that he was a member of the police who had retired since July 2022. In the video, Ismail apologized to Agus Andrianto for the statement about the illegal mining deposit.

Ismail admitted that he had never communicated and did not know Kabareskrim. This man did not expect that the video would go viral.

In the video, Ismail mentions the first video was made because he was under pressure from Hendra Kurniawan, who at that time was a Karopaminal Divpropam Polri and a one-star general.
