The SAR Team of the Kupang Class A Search and Rescue Office found Ahmad (53), a resident of Bima, West Nusa Tenggara Regency, who died after being swept away by a flood in the Kupang Village Kleon River. "The victim was reported missing after being dragged into the flood, on Thursday at 10:12 WITA, in the Kleon River, Tanini Village, Takari District. Several friends of the victim and residents had searched after the incident but to no avail," said Head of the Kupang Class A Search and Rescue Office I Putu Sudayana in Kupang, Antara, Friday, November 25. The SAR team that received information from the Kupang Regency BPBD immediately dispatched a team led by the Head of the Operations and Alert Section of the Kupang Class A Search and Rescue Office, Saidar Rahmanjaya to conduct a search operation for victims. In the first day of the search operation, on Thursday the SAR team carried out around the scene until 18.00 WITA was also still nil. The search operation was carried out by the joint SAR team to continue, on Friday today, together with the people of Tanini Village by conducting a search along the Kleon River to the mouth of the river, they managed to find victim Ahmad (53) in a dead condition. The SAR team found the victim, at 12.00 WITA, dead at coordinates 9°46'51.0"S - 123°54'28.6"E so that he was immediately evacuated to Tanini Village to be handed over to the victim's family. "We urge that during bad weather residents to always be careful, in the event of flooding, they should not force themselves to cross rivers that are flooded so as not to endanger the safety of residents," said I Putu Sudayana.
