"Hundreds of hectares of flooded rice plants are spread across three villages, namely Lambangan, Wonosoco, and Bergenjang, Undaan District," said Head of Food Crops and Plantation Division of the Kudus Agriculture and Food Service, Dewi Masitoh in Kudus, quoted from Antara, Friday, November 25. The land affected by the flood in Lambangan Village covering an area of 127 hectares out of a total area of plants, then in Wonosoco Village from an area of 196 hectares of planting which was flooded by 97 hectares, and in Berugenjang Village, which was flooded by 74 hectares. For the age of the plant, he added, it is different because the majority only start planting in early November 2022 so that it is estimated to be between a week and 12 days old. "As soon as they found out that the plant seeds were puso because they had been flooded for too long, the farmers immediately replaced them because they were damaged and the puso was not entirely," he said. He estimates that the data on flood-inundated land will develop because currently the intensity of rainfall is starting to increase. The flooded rice plant area is indeed located in flooded areas because it is located in lowlands. For now, he added, the area that started the planting season is indeed in the Undaan area, while other areas that are also often hit by floods in the Mejobo District area. "It's just that the area has not started planting so it has not been affected by the flood," he said. Efforts to overcome inundation, the Kudus Agriculture and Food Service have prepared a water suction machine so that inundation can be reduced immediately so that farmers can start planting. Farmers are also invited to participate in the Farmers' Business Insurance (AUTP) program, so there is no need to worry because they will receive compensation claims.
