Jakarta Satpol PP Shuts Down Warung Brothers Kemang Location Bu Lurah Beaten When Disperse Crowd

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Satpol PP permanently closes Waroeng Brothers (WB) in Kemang, South Jakarta for violating Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) and being involved in the case of beating the Cipete Utara Village Head.

Head of Jakarta Satpol PP, Arifin emphasized that his party does not hesitate to take firm action against business owners who often violate the PSBB by ignoring health protocols.

"This place (WB) is the one that violates the health protocol and the events are repeated," said Arifin, quoted by Antara, Friday, December 11.

According to Arifin, the WB repeatedly violated the PSBB, namely operating outside the regulated operating hours during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition, the WB also does not have a permit, and sells liquor and has been prosecuted several times by the Satpol PP of Cipete Utara Village.

"This place does not have a business license at all, therefore today, we are carrying out a permanent sealing action in other words, it cannot operate," said Arifin.

Not only that, continued Arifin, his party also received many complaints from the community regarding WB activities which often disturb the comfort and peace of the surrounding community.

The community often reports the noise that often occurs in WB to Cipete Utara Village.

Recently there was a lot of news about the beating of the Head of North Cipete Urban Village, Nurcahaya, while monitoring the PSBB on Jalan Kemang Selatan VII B where WB is located.

At that time, the Head of North Cipete Urban Village was subjected to criminal acts of beatings committed by people who were in the WB who were not accepted and reprimanded and asked to disperse by the urban village apparatus.

"Therefore, we take firm action and this is a warning for all business establishments to comply with health protocols," said Arifin.

Previously, North Cipete Urban Village Nurcahya was beaten by a number of people while monitoring the PSBB at WB on November 21, 2020.

The case has been reported to the South Jakarta Metro Police, one in three suspected beatings has been arrested and detained, charged under Article 170 of the Criminal Code.

The perpetrator with the initials RQ is 22 years old, and the female gender has been named as a suspect.
