JAKARTA - India is in a commotion with a murder case accompanied by mutilation. The woman who became a victim, had her body part found in a refrigerator.

Police in Delhi have opened an investigation into the murder of a woman, allegedly committed by her partner.

Shraddha Walkar (27 years old) was killed in May. Unfortunately, his death was only revealed this week after his father reported he was missing.

Quoted from the BBC, Tuesday, November 15, the police arrested and charged Aftab Poonawala with the alleged perpetrator of the murder.

Police said the perpetrator strangled SHraddha Walkar to death. Then sadistically, cut his body and dumped it in the forest near the house.

The murder made headlines in India, largely due to sensational police claims that Poonawala kept some parts of her body in her new refrigerator.

On Tuesday morning, police took Poonawala to the forest where she allegedly dumped the body parts of SHraddha Walkar.

Police said Walkar and Poonawala met in the city of Mumbai through a dating app. They've been in touch and living for the last three years.

Earlier this year, they moved to Delhi after allegedly fighting with the Walkar family who did not approve of their relationship.

"As soon as the couple moved, Schraddha began to pressure the man to marry her," said senior police official Ankit Chauhan.

"Both of them fought a lot and it got out of control. On May 18, the man lost his patience and strangled him," he said.

The Walkar family tried to contact him after being told by his friends that they had not heard from him for several months.

"He hasn't replied to my SMS since August," said his friend, Laxman Nadir.

"The cellphone was turned off. After asking about him with other friends, I told his brother".
