The Water Gate Of The Fish Market Is Alert 2, DKI BPBD Asks Residents To Be Alert

JAKARTA - The Fish Market Water Gate in Penjaringan, North Jakarta, has the status of Alert 2 with a water level of 202 centimeters (cm) on Tuesday, November 15, at 07.00 WIB.

The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of DKI Jakarta Province said that nine areas in North Jakarta have the potential to be affected.

As for those affected by the Alert 2 status at the Fish Market Water Gate, namely Kamal Muara, Kapuk Muara, Penjaringan, Pluit, Ancol, Kamal, Marunda, Cilincing and Kalibaru.

According to BPBD, from 05.00 to 06.00 WIB, the Fish Market Water Gate is still on alert status or Alert 3.

The change in status was triggered by an increase in water level (TMA) at the Fish Market Water Gate about 20 centimeters from 04.00 to 05.00 WIB. Then, seven centimeters at 05.00 to 06.00 WIB.

However, the weather at the Fish Market Water Gate is currently bright and not cloudy.

BPBD DKI has socialized the status of the Fish Market Water Gate by disseminating information through social media as well as notification to the sub-district and village heads. In an emergency, residents were asked to contact Jakarta Alert 112.

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) estimates that port weather in mainland Jakarta has the potential to be cloudy on Tuesday. The maximum sea level of 0.8 meters is estimated to occur at 07.00 WIB.

Based on an Antara report, BMKG predicts air temperature at Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta, ranging from 26-28 degrees Celsius and humidity 75-90 percent with an estimated wave height of between 0.1-0.5 meters and gusts of wind from south to west between five to 15 knots.

Likewise, weather forecasts, temperature, humidity, and wind direction at Marunda Port and Kalibaru Port in Cilincing and Sunda Kelapa Port, Nizam Ocean Fishing Port Zachman Muara Baru and Kaliadem Muara Angke Port in Penjaringan, North Jakarta.

The maximum visibility forecast (visibility) in all ports of mainland Jakarta is five kilometers.

Meanwhile, in the waters of the western Java Sea and the waters of the Thousand Islands, light rain is estimated with a wave height of between 0.5 and 1.25 meters.

The wind gust direction in the waters of the Thousand Islands is the same as the waters of Jakarta Bay, which is southwest to the northwest between five to 15 knots.

The weather in Jakarta Bay is estimated to be cloudy and the wave height is only 0.1 to 0.5 meters.

BPBD DKI Jakarta urges residents to be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds in East Jakarta and parts of South Jakarta on Tuesday afternoon and evening as well as in Bogor Regency and City during the day and into the night.
