Police Seek Witnesses For Shooting Cases Of 6 Laskar, Starting From Sentul To Cikampek KM 50 Toll

JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters explained that investigators have examined 14 witnesses in the handling of the shooting case of the 6 Special Forces guarding Rizieq Shihab on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road some time ago.

"In the meantime we have examined 14 witnesses so later we will prove it (chronology)," said Head of Public Relations of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono to reporters, Friday, December 11.

Investigators will also examine other witnesses who were at each location, in the series of events, from the starting point of Rizieq's group departure in Sentul, West Java, to those at the scene, on the Jakarta-Cikampek KM 50 toll road.

"We need to look for witnesses until the next crime scene is related to the incident (shooting). Then there is the next crime scene, all witnesses who see who hear please, later we will examine everything," said Argo.

Investigators will also look for supporting evidence in this series of events.

Furthermore, the investigator organized a reconstruction to match the facts found during the investigation.

"After all, everything has been arranged. We will reconstruct everything, all friends, can see what it is like, let it be open that the police are not covering up but we will do everything transparently," he said.

It is known that 6 members of the Special Laskar guarding Rizieq Shihab were shot dead by the police. They were given strict action for attacking police officers.

This police firm action began with a police investigation regarding the schedule for the investigation of Rizieq Shihab. This is because the police received information that there would be a mass mobilization.

But during the investigation process by following Rizieq's movement, members of the Polda Metro Jaya were attacked.

According to the police, the attack took place on the Jakarta-Cikampek KM 50 toll road. The attack was started with a special army car which stopped the police car.

Then, about 10 of the special laskar attacked the members' cars using firearms (senpi) and sharp weapons (sajam). Until finally the police returned the shots.

As a result, six people died at the location. Meanwhile, four other troops fled.
