JCI Closed Slightly Higher By 0.03 Percent To The Level Of 6,113.04

JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) strengthened at the close of trading this Wednesday, January 29. JCI rose 1.8 points or 0.03 percent to 6,113.04.

At the close of trading today, there were 198 stocks rising, 210 stocks weakening, and 133 stocks stagnating. Trade transactions reached IDR 6.14 trillion from 5.71 billion shares traded.

The LQ45 index fell 0.35 points or 0 percent to 1,000.32, the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) index rose 1.22 points or 0.2 percent to 666.94, the IDX30 index rose 0.05 points or 0 percent to 547, 82, and the MNC36 index rose 1 point or 0.3 percent to 348.47.

Binaartha Sekuritas analyst, M. Nafan Aji Gustama, said that inclusive and sustainable domestic macroeconomic fundamental stability is a positive catalyst for the index.

"Market estimates that the Fed will maintain its benchmark interest rate will also have a positive effect on increasing capital inflows on emerging markets," Nafan explained to VOI, Wednesday, January 29.

On the other hand, he said, market players really appreciate that the Indonesian government has taken various preventive steps to prevent the spread of the corona virus. So far, there has been no indication of any patient contracting the virus in Indonesia.

At the close of trading this afternoon, stocks that experienced the fastest rising movement (top gainers) were PT Putra Rajawali Kencana Tbk shares. (PURA) rose IDR 73 or 69.52 percent to IDR 178, shares of PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk (KRAS) increased IDR 22 or 8.21 percent to IDR 290, and shares of PT Integra Indocabinet Tbk (WOOD) increased IDR 32 or 7.11 percent to Rp482.

Meanwhile, the top losers were PT Repower Asia Indonesia Tbk. (REAL) fell IDR 34 or 10.37 percent to IDR 294, shares of PT Indonesian Tobacco Tbk (ITIC) fell IDR 220 or 8.91 percent to IDR 2,250, and shares of PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk (TCPI) fell IDR 500 or 7.91 percent to Rp5,825.
