One of the main results of this meeting was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding for the formation of Comprehensive Strategic Dialogue (CSD) by Foreign Minister Sugiono and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
"With CSD, we build a bilateral mechanism that is more comprehensive and more focused on answering the challenges and opportunities for bilateral cooperation, with a focus on five pillars of cooperation, namely the economy, inter-community, maritime, political and security relations," explained the Indonesian Foreign Minister.
In the 2+2, Indonesia and China meeting, Indonesia agreed to increase law enforcement cooperation, including mutual legal assistance, intelligence exchange, and operational coordination in tackling transnational crimes, cybercrime, and extremism.
As part of efforts to build strategic trust, the two countries also agreed to form a new bilateral consultation mechanism in the field of weapons reduction, non-proliferation and arms control.
In the maritime sector, Indonesia and China agreed to increase cooperation, including strengthening coordination between the Indonesian Maritime Security Agency and the China Coast Guard.

Apart from Dialogue 2+2, Foreign Minister Sugiono also held a bilateral meeting with Foreign Minister Wang Yi, discussing various follow-up to economic development cooperation and health cooperation.
"I encourage economic cooperation between Indonesia and China not only to focus on numbers, but also to include development, capacity, technology transfer and sustainability aspects," hoped Foreign Minister Sugiono.
