President Jokowi Scheduled to Attend Sail Tidore

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is scheduled to attend to directly open the implementation of Sail Tidore in Tidore Islands City, North Maluku which will take place on November 24-29.

"According to schedule, Jokowi's presence in North Maluku will receive tight security from the TNI-Polri", said the Commander of Korem (Danrem) 152/Baabullah TNI Brigadier General Novi Rubadi Sugito in Ternate, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 8.

Regarding President Jokowi's visit to North Maluku, Korem 152/Babullah is ready to carry out security based on standard operating procedures.

In addition, the TNI will provide security as needed in the field and will involve related elements, both the North Maluku Police and other agencies.

"From this security, we will adjust it to the needs in the field", he said.

Brigadier General Novi Rubadi said that the security of President Jokowi's visit to the area was carried out by VVIP, as was the case with a visit to the area a few months ago when distributing Direct Cash-Fuel Oil (BLT-BBM) assistance to residents.

Currently, his party has coordinated with Kodam XVI/Pattimura to discuss the readiness to secure the activity.

"We will make adjustments to the previous experience. Obviously now we are ready if the President comes to open Sail Tidore", he said.

Korem 152/Baabullah previously carried out security during President Joko Widodo's two-day visit to North Maluku on September 27-28. A total of 2,600 TNI/Polri personnel were stationed in several designated areas during the visit.
