Session Of Brigadier J Case, Ngaku Ambulance Driver Ordered To Turn Off Sirine When Arriving In Duren Tiga

JAKARTA - The driver of the ambulance, Ahmad Syahrul Ramadhan, admitted that he had been asked by members of the National Police Provos to turn off the siren of his vehicle when he arrived at the Police Complex, Duren Tiga, Jakarta.

The request began when Syahrul arrived in front of the Duren Tiga gate. At that time there were Provos members on guard.

He was also asked to explain his intent and purpose in coming to the Ferdy Sambo official residence area.

"There I was stopped. Then I was asked where to go and what the purpose was. I explained,'mission sir, good night. I got directions from my office to pick you up at this location. I gave it to my WA members," said Syahrul during a trial at the South Jakarta District Court, Monday, November 7th

At that time, Syahrul was asked to turn off the siren and the lights. He didn't know for sure the reason behind the request.

"Then he (the Provos member) said, later follow it, it will be directed later. Ask for an ambulance and all sirens to be turned off," he said.

As if he didn't want to bother, Syahrul followed the direction of the Provos member. He also entered the Duren Tiga Complex to go to Ferdy Sambo's official residence, which is the location for the murder of Brigadier J.

"Then I followed the direction of the provos, I walked again to the pick-up point," said Syahrul.

In this case, Richard total, Ricky Rizal, and Strong Ma'ruf were jointly charged with Ferdy Sambo and Putri Candrawathi committing premeditated murder at Brigadier J.

As a result of their actions, they were charged with violating Article 338 of the Criminal Code, subsidiary to Article 340 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
