JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has deposited IDR 553 million into the state treasury. The deposit was made after the former Regent of North Penajam Paser Abdul Gafur Mas'ud and other convicts in the bribery case for the procurement of goods and services paid a fine and compensation.

"Executor prosecutor Andry Prihandono through the KPK Finance Bureau has finished depositing into the state treasury a total of IDR 553 million as a payment of fines and replacement money from the convict Abdul Gafur Mas'ud et al", KPK Spokesperson, Ipi Maryati, told reporters, Tuesday, October 25.

1. The convict Abdul Gafur Mas'ud has paid off the criminal obligation of a fine of IDR 300 million;

2. The convict Nur Afifah Balqis pays the installment of the criminal obligation of a fine of IDR 100 million and the remaining IDR 200 million;

3. The convict Muliadi paid the installments of the criminal obligation of a fine of IDR 100 million and the remaining IDR 200 million;

4. The convict Jusman has paid off his criminal obligation for IDR 53 million.

Ipi said that his party would continue to recover state losses. This step is carried out by collecting fines from convicts in other corruption cases.

"As one of the main agendas of the KPK is to maximize asset recovery, the execution prosecutor's team will continue to actively collect fines and replacement money from the convicts", he said.
