1,240 People WhoSE Voluntary Donor Blood 50 And 75 Times Get Awards From Ganjar

JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo gave awards to volunteer blood donors who have donated blood dozens of times. Ganjar said, they are extraordinary humanitarian heroes.

"We would like to thank all donors who have donated blood 50 times and 75 times to help others", said Ganjar at the award ceremony for voluntary blood donors at the Haji Donohudan Dormitory, Boyolali Regency, Central Java Province, Monday, October 24.

The governor said that thanks to voluntary blood donors who routinely donate blood, the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of Central Java Province was able to meet the patient's blood needs in the hospital.

"The PMI of Central Java can reach 97 percent to meet the needs of hospitals. This means that Central Java's contribution from the community to humanity is very high," he said as quoted by Antara.

Chairman of PMI Central Java Province Sarwo Pramono said that a total of 1,240 volunteer blood donors received awards from PMI.

The award was given to 955 people who have donated blood 50 times and 285 people who have donated blood 75 times.

Awarding voluntary blood donors is expected to motivate and move more residents to become voluntary blood donors.
