Central Java (Central Java) Police revealed a factory that conducts vehicle fake oil in three places in Semarang City.

Director of the Special Criminal Investigation of the Central Java Police, Kombes Pol. Dwi Subagio said the fake oil factory was able to produce 3,000 bottles per day.

"The mill reaches Rp960 million per month," he said in Semarang, quoted from Antara, Thursday, October 20.

In the disclosure, the police have also named two suspects, each DKA (41) as the owner of the three oil production sites and AM (40) as the seller.

The entire fake oil factory, which is located in North Semarang and East Semarang, he said, has been operating for about 2 years.

"The sale covers Central Java and Kalimantan," he said.

He explained that the counterfeit oil itself is made from liquid paraffin mixed with addictive substances and dyes, resulting in fluids similar to original oils.

The fake oil is sold at a price of Rp600 thousand per box containing 24 bottles, cheaper than the original product which is sold for Rp1.08 million per box. "There are two forged oil brands, namely Yamalube and AHM," he said.

The circulation of fake oils is detrimental to the public, he said, because it causes damage to motorcycle engines.

For their actions, the two suspects were charged with Law Number 20 of 2016 concerning brands.
