Malaysian King And His Wife Make Special Visit To London To Meet King Charles III

JAKARTA - The King of Malaysia, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah paid a special visit to London, England, for seven days in honor of the King of England.

The Malaysian King and Queen Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah will depart for London from 10 to 16 October.

"The two are scheduled to meet King Charles III at Buckingham Palace on October 12," said Royal Household Financial Supervisor Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin in a media statement on the State Palace Facebook, as reported by Antara, Sunday, October 9.

According to Ahmad, the honorary visit of Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah and the Empress reflects their close relationship with King Charles III.

Where the friendship between the two has lasted for four decades and has played polo equestrian together as teenagers in various international championships.

He said the visit also reflected the close bilateral relations between Malaysia and Britain since Malaysia's independence 65 years ago.

On the same day, 12 October 2022, he said Agong was scheduled to inaugurate Battersea Janakuasa Station, an iconic Malaysian investment property project in London.
