Jambi Regional Secretary Sudirman said there were around 6,000 motorcycle taxi drivers in Jambi who would receive the fuel subsidy assistance.

"The Jambi Provincial Government will distribute financial assistance to 6,000 motorcycle taxi drivers who will be realized in one gift," Sudirman said in his statement, Saturday, October 8.

The Jambi Provincial Government is currently in the process of verifying. However, the provincial government has prepared the aid funds from the BTT (Unexpected Shopping) fund.

Furthermore, Sudirman said that every motorcycle taxi driver will get funds of Rp. 315 thousand. The distribution process of aid funds will be carried out through the post office and taken directly by those who get it.

The Head of the Jambi Provincial Secretariat Economic Bureau, Johansyah, explained that the funds were equivalent to 1.5 liters of fuel for 96 days.

"Our motorcycle taxi is 96 days, the motorcycle taxi is 1.5 liters, but the social assistance is also paid, they take it at the post office," he said.

Johansyah added that the funding assistance provided was the difference in the price of Pertalite type fuel increase, which was IDR 2,350 multiplied by 1.5 liters for 96 days.

The distribution is expected to be realized by the end of October or early November 2022.
