'Here, Budi Orang Dalam RI 1, For Jokowi's Attention To Jakarta'

JAKARTA - President Jokowi has reportedly chosen the Head of the Presidential Secretariat, Heru Budi Hartono as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta. That is a sign of Jokowi giving high attention to Jakarta.

Member of Commission C of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Wibi Andrino, assessed that the Acting Governor of DKI as the filler of Anies Baswedan's position which will end on October 16, 2022, is the prerogative of the President.

"Heru, who is the presidential candidate, which means that he is the president's in-person, can be seen that the president's interest is very high in Jakarta," said Wibi when contacted, Friday, October 7 night.

With Heru's election as PJ Governor of DKI, Wibi hopes that this figure can bring Jakarta better and conducive until the completion of his tenure.

"And be able to collaborate with all parties. Including up to the election period which is usually thick in polarization, even though it is the duty of all parties, including candidate pairs to reduce polarization," he said as quoted by Antara.

However, Wibi said that the Acting Governor of DKI has homework, namely continuing the big work in Jakarta's development plans such as floods, congestion and Jakarta's economy.

"That is, priority programs are for the benefit of the community," said Wibi.

Furthermore, Wibi said he was ready to partner with the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, the choice of President Joko Widodo to build Jakarta.

"We fully support whatever the president's choice is and we are ready to partner with to build Jakarta together with Pak Heru," he said.

The positions of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria are known to end on October 16, 2022.

The position of leader of DKI Jakarta will then be filled by the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta until 2024.

The DKI DPRD proposed three names of candidates for the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta to the Ministry of Home Affairs, namely Heru Budi Hartono, DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary Marullah Matali, and the Director General of Politics and General Administration of the Ministry of Home Affairs Bahtiar.

From the latest information, the Head of the Presidential Secretariat, Ministry of State Secretariat, Heru Budi Hartono, has been designated as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta.

This was stated in the Meeting of the Final Assessment Team (TPA) led by President Joko Widodo at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Friday afternoon.

It was informed that Heru's name was decided by President Jokowi after hearing the considerations of Vice President Ma'ruf Amin and members of the TPA as well as related ministers.
