JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan inaugurated the construction of the Police Dormitory Flat on Jalan Sutan Syahrir Number 1, Gondangdia, Menteng, Central Jakarta. The Police Dormitory Flat was built on assets belonging to the Central Jakarta Metro Police. Meanwhile, the construction was carried out by the DKI Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Areas Agency (DPRKP) at a cost of Rp. 200 billion, which was in season from the DKI Jakarta APBD. In his remarks, Anies said that the grant for the construction of the National Police Dormitory Flats is the responsibility of the DKI Provincial Government for the ranks of Polri members who are also responsible for enforcing the law and maintaining public security and order. Anies boasts that the National Police Dormitory Flats are built in an elite and strategic area, because they are located in the city center and close to public transportation modes. Meanwhile, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Areas, Sarjoko, explained that the Menteng Police Flats in Central Jakarta were intended for residents of the former Menteng Police Dormitory and Active Members of the Metro Police. "With a series of participatory planning, it is hoped that the physical shape of the flats that are built will improve the performance and welfare of active members of the Polda Metro Jaya," said Sarjoko. For information, the flat building consists of 2 towers with a height of 17 floors and 400 residential units, consisting of 360 residences with an area of 36 m2, 20 residences with an area of 54 m2, and 20 residences with an area of 72 m2. The building consists of a bedroom, family room, kitchen, bathroom, and balcony.
