A Number Of Isolation Hotels For COVID-19 Patients In Jakarta Filled 100 Percent

JAKARTA - Head of the COVID-19 Emergency Hospital Secretariat Wisma Athlete, Marine Colonel RM Tjahja Nurrobi received news that a number of hotels that have been used as isolation for COVID-19 patients have been filled one hundred percent.

"The information we got, there are several hotels that are full, their occupancy reaches 100 percent," said Nurrobi in a discussion at Graha BNPB, East Jakarta, Monday, November 30.

Nurrobi said hotels where isolation were already full were the Ibis Hotel in Senen, Central Jakarta, Grand Asia in Penjaringan, North Jakarta, and the U Stay Hotel in Mangga Besar, West Jakarta.

The cause of the full isolation bed for COVID-19 patients with the category of people without symptoms (OTG) is due to the large number of cases in the last few days.

Active cases of COVID-19 in Indonesia in recent times. There was an increase in active cases from 12.78 percent to 13.41 percent this week.

"Since about 1 week ago, we have seen a trend for an increase in the number of cases whose curves are getting steeper. Recently, there is a tendency for more patients to enter than to leave (recover)," said Nurrobi.

Therefore, Nurrobi will divert new COVID-19 patients with no symptoms to Pademangan Athletes House. This location is a former quarantine place for migrant workers and crew members.

In addition, said Nurrobi, the DKI Health Office will also add new locations to increase the availability of isolation places for COVID-19 patients without symptoms.

"The additional location seems to be at the Twin Plaza hotel. Then, there are also places such as the Jakarta Islamic Center, then Graha Wisata at TMII," he said.

Currently the location for isolation of COVID-19 patients in DKI Jakarta, there are 4,333 beds spread across 33 hotels. The details, Central Jakarta 14 hotels, South Jakarta 5 hotels, East Jakarta 3 hotels, West Jakarta 5 hotels, and North Jakarta 6 hotels.
