Visiting Kamali Baubau Beach, Jokowi Treats Children To Buy Toys

SOUTHEAST SULAWESI - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is on a working visit (kunker) to Baubau City, Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra). On the sidelines of his work trip, Jokowi visited Kamali Beach and treated a number of children he met in the area.

Based on a written statement from the spokesman for the Southeast Sulawesi Governor, Ilham Q. Moehiddin, Jokowi visited the Kamali Beach night market to greet residents and street vendors (PKL).

"During the visit, it was seen that residents filled the streets to welcome President Joko Widodo's arrival," he said.

Kamali Beach is a coastal area that is used as a night market. The President visited several stalls ranging from children's toys and selling clothes on sale.

During the visit, President Jokowi interacted with the sellers while greeting the public. Occasionally also call the children to buy gifts, toys, and clothes.

In addition, the former mayor of Solo continues to greet the public by distributing black T-shirts found in the market.

Previously, Head of the Baubau Communications and Information Office (Kominfo) La Ode Darusalam said, while in Baubau, the President carried out three activities including receiving the award of customary and cultural titles with the title La Ode Joko Widodo Lakina Bhawaangi Yi Musantara from the 40th Sultan of Buton.

Then, the President handed over Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) for Fuel Oil (BBM) and Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU) to recipient residents at the PT Pos Indonesia Baubau Branch Office and visited the Wameo Traditional Market.

"After that, he (President Jokowi) went to Wajo Market, Buton Regency, then returned to Baubau for lunch at Lakeba Restaurant. After that, he only went to South Buton," he explained.

While in Southeast Sulawesi, accompanying the President during a working visit in Southeast Sulawesi were Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Investment/Head of the Capital Market Coordinating Board (BKPM), Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah, Governor of Southeast Sulawesi Ali Mazi.

After the entire series of activities in Southeast Sulawesi Province are completed, the President and his entourage will head to Betoambari Airport to take off to Ternate City, North Maluku Province.
