DPRD Will Summon Anies's Subordinates, Ask For Clarification On Island G To Land Expansion

JAKARTA - Head of Commission D for the Development of the DKI Jakarta Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), Ida Maheasy, plans to summon the ranks of the DKI Jakarta regional work units (SKPD) to ask for an explanation regarding the contents of the 2022 detailed spatial plan (RDTR).

This is stated in the Governor's Regulation (Pergub) Number 31 of 2022 concerning the Detailed Spatial Planning (RDTR) of the DKI Jakarta Planning Area.

Among them are the plans for the reclamation of G Island which is directed to become a residential area for the expansion of land in the Thousand Islands. However, Ida has not disclosed when the summons will be made.

"Later we want to call as soon as possible regarding the design or the system", said Ida when contacted, Tuesday, September 27.

In the summons later, the staff of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan must be able to explain the concept of settlements to be built on Island G. Will the reclamation island in Jakarta Bay be built for elite housing or dense settlements and flats?

"That must be clarified first. Is the settlement really wanting to build flats or is it an elite settlement", said Ida.

This, according to Ida, will affect the determination of the additional contribution value charged to the private sector as the developer.

"For flats, we can't take a high levy, but if it is for housing and the elite, it must be high", she said.

Meanwhile, regarding land expansion, Ida will question the difference between the concept of land expansion and reclamation, which Anies has been opposed to.

Actually, Ida is sure that the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government will argue by saying that land expansion is not the same as reclamation.

"Yes, although we already know the answer to what service (when asked about land expansion). For example, example, normalization with naturalization. This (the use of the term land expansion) is just a language strategy so that people don't blaspheme", she explained.

However, by calling the DKI Provincial Government to this working meeting, Ida revealed that this was necessary to inform the public that land expansion was indeed the same as reclamation.

"If it (land expansion) is the same as reclamation, we will convey this to the public. You know, Mr. Anies wants reclamation, but the language has been changed. We really wanted to do reclamation, only the language (changed), we were lied to with the language", she said.
