JAKARTA - Chairman of the DPP Hanura Party Oesman Sapta Odang (OSO) has confirmed that his party will only make a decision regarding the 2024 presidential candidate (candidate) in December 2022.

"I already said that we only thought about it in December 2022 to determine our attitude," said OSO at the Hanura Party DPP Technical Bimtek in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Sunday, September 19 evening.

He said the decision to make a decision at the end of 2022 was because the current political conditions in Indonesia were confusing the Hanura Party.

OSO considers that there are many issues leading up to the 2024 presidential election that should not need to be raised.

"We do that because current political ideas and behavior confuse us, especially about the emergence of issues that don't really need to be like this," he said.

When asked whether the Hanura Party had pocketed the names that would be carried in the 2024 presidential election, OSO was reluctant to comment much.

He hopes that whoever is supported by the Hanura Party will win in a political event that is only two years away.

"Even though we are a party like this, we have principles. Who we support must win," he said.
