SURABAYA - Deputy Governor of East Java Emil Elestianto Dardak hopes that The Business 20 (B20) Forum in Surabaya, 15-16 September 2022 can produce the best recommendations for the G20 Summit.
"B20 is a very strategic discussion forum. Hopefully, we can arrange all discussions and recommendations to be submitted to the G20 Summit Forum in November," he said when opening the B20 Forum in Surabaya, Thursday, September 15.
B20 is a forum for dialogue between the global business community with more than 1,000 delegates from G20 countries. Those who are in it are generally the leaders of multinational companies.
The B20 meeting which took place at Hotel Majapahit Surabaya was themed "Global Value Chain and Sustainable Supply Chain: Capacity and Connectivity".
Organized in collaboration with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (KADIN), supported by the East Java Provincial Government, and a number of initiating institutions, including APINDO, the Grounded Economic Coalition, Entrepreneurs Organization, and BPC HIPMI Surabaya.

Deputy Governor Emil hopes that the historic Majapahit Surabaya Hotel, as the venue for the B20 Forum, can inspire invited guests to take part in taking on a heroic role for the Indonesian economy.
"I hope this discussion can really help increase the capacity of businesses, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) so that they can compete in the global economy," he said.
