Samarinda Police Hand Arrest Operation, Arrest Drug Dealers During Transactions

JAKARTA - The Samarinda Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, East Kalimantan, arrested a narcotics dealer while transacting 203.20 grams of methamphetamine in the local area.

"Evidence was found on the ground, exactly under a road sign pole. The evidence was about to be taken by suspect AI (21)", said Samarinda Police Chief, Commissioner Ary Fadli to reporters in Samarinda, Thursday, September 15, quoted from Antara.

The police chief explained that the case was revealed based on information from the public who said there was a transaction of methamphetamine on Syahrani Dahlan Street, to be precise in front of the Pesona Mahakam Housing.

When they received information that the reported AI wanted to conduct a narcotics transaction at the crime scene (TKP), the Samarinda Police Narcotics Investigation Unit immediately moved to the area to conduct investigations and arrests.

"We made careful observations. On Wednesday, September 14 afternoon at around 16.00 WITA, the police suspected that a man identified as AI had just gotten off his motorbike and was immediately searched", he explained.

Ary Fadli added that the success of his staff in arresting the methamphetamine dealer could not be separated from the cooperation and information from the community.

"From residents' reports that AI perpetrators often carry out narcotics transactions of the type of methamphetamine, members of the Samarinda Police Narcotics Unit carry out intensive investigations of the perpetrators' activities", he explained.

Currently, the perpetrator has been named a suspect along with evidence of 203.20 grams of crystal methamphetamine secured at the Samarinda Police Headquarters for further investigation and investigation.
